Finder color labels?

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

Works fine for me. Just two notes:
  • Panther Finder labels are not rsynced.
  • I agree that it would be better to install it as /usr/bin/rsyncx instead of replacing Apple's rsync.
Thanks!

Finder color labels? - rsyncxdev

Thanks for trying RsyncX.

Panther Finder labels are supported and synced using RsyncX - could you send an example of your problem to rsyncxdev@umich.edu?

Not sure why it's not noticed that the RsyncX binary cannot replace /usr/bin/rsync - which is *not* Apple's rsync. The default rsync comes from rsync.samba.org. The version of rsync included with RsyncX comes from www.opendarwin.org - a site that *is* maintained by Apple employees and external contributors.
