Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: NO

Maybe I'll find mention of this in an earlier post (I'll get there), but...
This sucks bad. How come I always find these updates here, when my virex (yeah yeah, the .mac thing) checks everyday...in fact it's checking now and there are NO UPDATES...? If there were danger of virus attacks, and I'm not holding my breath or losing sleep over this, believe me...then how effective would this crappy software be. Not only do they update it about once every 6 six weeks or so, but then THEIR OWN SOFTWARE is the last to know about it!!! McAfee is the lamest there is, and it always has been. When my friend got a Dell a couple years ago (haw haaaaw!) she couldn't figure out how to update the Crapofee software. Turns out you had to GO TO THE SITE and LOOK FOR UPDATES, then DOWNLOAD THEM MANUALLY, then INSTALL THEM MANUALLY. Effective, no?

Don't sweat the not so timely Virux Dat updates.
Since there are no MacOS X viruses and no new MacOS 9- viruses in only 6 years, the update must be just to identify all those Win viruses, for which Win users should update every few keystrokes!
So there is no problem in so far as the Mac DAT updates.
