None of the Java 1.4.x, including 1.4.2 will render text properly in the Yahoo Java Games (Pinochle, for me) ... each time have to revert to 1.3.1 using the remove "JavaPluginCocoa.bundle out of /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins" ... on a whim, however, before removal, was 'tweaking' the 1.4.2 Java Settings and set the Jar Compression to 'high' and for one brief moment the Yahoo Game's text was almost *correct*, but did not hold after restart. Don't know if on to something, but never could re-create.
