While iTunes is a wonderful program, I have been in the computer industry long enough to realise two things:
1. It is always better to put good data into a database than to rely on the program to fix it up for you. Often, they do not quite do what you want. So I would prefer to set the tags in my MP3s before I stuff them into iTunes.
2. All-in-one programs are great until you decide you want to use something else, then you have the problem of how do you get your valuable data/files out in a form that you can use.
So I think a program that allows me to edit tags is very useful.
The only thing I wish it would do is to allow me to drag a file onto it rather than having to use the menu.
