Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

I had a discussion with LaCie Technical Support and they told be how to backdate the firmware to v1.36. Unfortunately, my firewaire drive still won't boot. So, it's probably not firmware v1.38 per se, but the update process itself that causing the problem.

I had tried reinstalling 10.3 via archive-install, but this didn't work. Others seem to have luck with reformatting, but I'd rather not do that.

Re: Not bootable anymore - Mike - LaCie

We believe we have idenitified the issue and have a fix.

It has been tried on a few drives that reported inability to boot.

Please send an email to firewire at lacie dot com, and I will point you at a version to fix your drive. Private download link for now.
