I have criticised Alsoft in the past for the attitude of their Customer Relations department and so it is only fair that I redress the balance. Within the last hour or so I have d/loaded the updater, burnt a 301 CD, checked that it boots, copied vs 301 to internal drive and to external FW, and rebuilt directories on both from the other. Everything went perfectly - not even the tiniest glitch.

Usually as soon as I see "Recording differences" I go off for a coffee. This didn't give me the chance - a huge speed boost. To nit-pick I saw one tiny cosmetic detail - the info said "Not visible on desktop" when in fact it should have said "Visible…", but when the job completed the disk reappeared correctly. Trivial.

Congratulations to the Alsoft engineers. Superb concept, exemplary instructions, a very real improvement to an already magnificent product - beauty, simplicity, functionality…

OK, do I get paid now?   :-D

Disappointing! - msanta1

I ran the updater application and got the following error code:
"The newly created disk image could not be mounted".
Error code: 256
I can't mount the image therefore I can't burn the updater. It sucks! I am staying with Tech Tool Pro 4, this version is solid!
