Product Platform: MacOS,MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

All right, I'm going to break up the love fest here. I really want to like the Carracho server. It reminds me of the old days with Hotline, before the PCs invaded. But this app is BUGGY! The server app is totally counterintuitive in that the whole thing is set up through the client. And not the OS X client, mind you. If you don't have another computer running OS 9, you can't even set up your own OS X server! And the description of the server you save keeps deleting itself due to a bug. And this is just the half of it. The Carracho client is all right, but the server needs a lot of work. Not nearly as good as a Hotline Server in its heyday.

Misinformation - BMerlin

What are you talking about? Use OS 9 to administer the server? You do realize that Carracho client is Carbon, right? I never boot OS 9 and I administer my own Carracho server every day.

All administration should be done through the client. I shouldn't have to connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to my server just to change settings, nor should I be forced to use VNC or a similar product.

You obviously have no appreciation for real serving. Stop rating products that are out of your league.
