This is exactly what I've been looking for! I know it's odd, but I've been holding onto OS 9 for frickin' Simple Text! I hate the way Text Edit doesn't let you edit an html page. I decided to try Version Tracker and I found this program yesterday. I downloaded it, I tried it, I loved it, I saved my work for later, I *tried* to come back to it... Huh? It wouldn't open the files that I had already worked in! In order to test this I opened up another file that I hadn't worked in yet, saved, closed the file, and then tried to open it again with no success! What's up with that?!?! I thought that it may be only a trial program, but then I came back here and I see that it is freeware. Is this a bug?
System Info:I did this with Panther OS X 10.3.2 on an 867 MHz Quicksilver G4.

Only one use? - itlshop

It's nice to be able to edit web pages, but i find that it refuses to let me drag an html file into the application unless i change the extension to txt.

Yeah... that was a pretty serious bug - fortunately now the editor allows you to open any file types.

Text Edit does let you edit an html page. Have you changed the preferences to select "ignore rich text commands in HTML" ?
