Go ahead and give QuickImage a try. It's a contextual menu, does this and more, and it's free. It will quickly become one of your must-have utilities. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19253

Thanks for the QuickImage tip - Felix01

QuickImage...I guess I've missed that little app...thanks for the heads up. I've never seen so many freeware five-star ratings! I'll definitely give it a try.

Quickimage is cool (I never knew about it til right now but like it and will start using) but I don't think it's fair to compare these two products at all since they appear totally different to me (didn't know about PictureScaler til right now either.) I've been wanting this since the best thing I've found so far is apps that take a bunch of pictures and create html tables for you and you can choose the smaller sized images (then I just snag what I need.) It's sort of a pain but the price of this seems high (in relation to how much I personally would use it.)

That said, it's great! It does what it says it does beautifully (especially like that you can opt to scale by "long" or "short" edge instead of (actually in addition to) height or width. The other QuickImage product doesn't do anything like what this does! (you can bulk rename with a simple command line script or free stuff I'm sure.)

Not worth this (to me) though :( I might be willing to pay $5 but will otherwise keep using the slightly more cumbersome but working free stuff. Nice job though!
