rspress, I don't know where you get the idea that iPhoto and iMovie will be downloadable on January 16th. Yes, it will be included with new Macs. But Apple has made no promises that it will be available with the next operating system, and all indicators seems to be that the applications (iPhoto and iMovie) will only be available as part of the $49 retail package ($79 Family Pack) unless you buy a new Mac. With the exception of iTunes, iLife is entirely commercial software now. It just happens to be bundled on the computer like Quicken and Art Director's Toolkit are.
