Any advice appreciated. I'm using Palm Desktop 4.1 downloaded from PalmGear. It unstuffs OK (Stuffit 8.02) When I run the installer under OS 10.3.2 it begins (at least I momentarily (1/2 second) see the progress window) then stops with the dialog -- "The installation could not be completed do to a system error (Access Denied)" All permissions on all files in the Palm Desktop Folder and HotSync folder are set to myself. I've repaired permissions using disk utility on the boot disk and now I am kind of at a loss Everyone seems to be having similar but somewhat different problems with Panther. Any ideas. I'd appreciate suggestions.
Thanks

Can't get install to complete - tonydermot

I had the same problem. The update had copied the old Palm installation including Conduit Manager into a Palm folder inside the new Palm folder. I moved the old Conduit Manager into the new folder and now it is working.

The problem seems to be that the latest version cannot find the Conduit Manager because it has been moved into a Palm [Old Version] folder inside the new Palm folder, so that it is looking at a new blank version which does not have your old settings!

Hope this helps!

I'm having the same problem/error, but Tony's solution doesn't make sense to me. Is he talking about the Palm Desktop Installer directory or the Application directory? And yeah, I'd really like to get this working again. I did the upgrade to 10.3.2 in order to try and fix the problem but I still get the Access Denied error just as the original poster described.
