Why risk it?

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: NO

I had to select "just installed" because there is no option for "Would never install."

I have an iBook with a fan that did not go on *enough* that has had 1 fried hard drive and 2 cooked logic boards. All were replaced under the original 1 year warranty.

I cannot imagine why someone would risk overheating their powerbook. The fan is your friend.

Your iBook problems - it's only me

Your iBook logic board issues are a KNOWN problem with your iBook. It is a major processor manufacturing fault that Apple knows about (read all the Mac forums) You may end up replacing it over and over again (some people have had to do it 3x already) Make sure you have Apple Care and sell the thing when the time is right.
