It's one thing to upgrade to a new OS and find some compatability issues with your existing software - this is to be expected. It's another thing altogether when you buy a new game off the floor at the AppleStore - surrounded by Panther-running Macs - only to get it home to find that it won't run in the latest OS. I specifically asked the "Genius" at the AppleStore if BloodRayne would run on TiBook (867Mhz running 10.3.2) and he told me that it would!
I also had the same bogus info from another so-called "Genius" regarding IK Multi-Media's Amplitube Live (which also won't run in 10.3)
Buyers Beware! The employees at some Apple Store's are sub-par and can potentially give yoiu bad info. Do the research yoiurself! If you're savvy enough a user to be reading these posts, then you probably know how to suss out system requirements - but you are WAY too over-qualified to work at an AppleStore!

Be Warned AppleStore Shoppers! - lushbudget`
Well then I believe that "I don't know, haven't tried it myself," is an appropriate answer. No harm in telling the truth.Saturday, May 08 2004 @ 10:03 PM PDT
Be Warned AppleStore Shoppers! - Eridius
Be fair - most apple store employees are very knowledgeable and competent. However, that doesn't mean they know *everything*. Perhaps they were told that BloodRayne would work on Panther? If they hadn't tried it themselves, they wouldn't know any different.Reply to This
