You should try to read the requirements before complaining. It says: "though fortune must be installed (and must reside in /sw/bin/)".

So, you have to have Fink installed. If you don't, it's useless. If you do, however, you type the following into the terminal

sudo apt-get install fortune-mod

and press return. apt-get will download fortune and install it. You can now enjoy your new screensaver.
