Thanks for "playing along." You have the right idea in theory but in practice it isn't going to work. Your app will have to keep up with every Adobe app and every version that uses that Applications Support folder. You also can't overlook the sometimes hard to determine (thank you Adobe for the mediocre log files) from using Web Update. Not a present problem? No, but what about next week. Debugging 3rd party addons such as filters or other enhancements is difficult enough. Trying to write a utility to keep up with all potential changes and/or bugs relating to any Adobe directories in the two libraries is a task most wouldn't consider. mdouma46 may not know of all known issues. Adobe clearly doesn't. Take a look at the cs messages.
