Buggy Uninstaller - publicspace

The Preference Pane is not left behind during the uninstall; what is happening is that the System Preferences application uses a cache to speed up it internal processing.

This cache is only updated after a reboot or when you log back into the operating system. At this time the icon will dissappear by itself.

I did not want to go around deleting system files to force this update because this might have had bad side-effects... (The Author).

The uninstaller does not leave the preference pane installed.

It removes it completely from the disk. The System Preferences application does however have a cache and it thus looks like the preference pane is still there until the user logs out or restarts the machine. This isn't great but deleting the cache file could damage the system.. I think it is better to stay on the safe side.
