If I hadn't been paying close attention I would have missed that VTP had changed yet again because it was in green: "Sponsored" I guess. But since my copy was out of date the Ticker should have used red, shouldn't it? When I went to the web site (as a logged-in user) it didn't indicate that I had any versions of VTP installed, so maybe it's your database that's messed up.
Do I need to go back over all the green items that I had seen with VTP Beta 12 and 16 to see if they need to be updated? Or do I need to look over everything???
I'd also like to suggest that there be needs to be a way to control turning off the highlighting of "Sponsored" items -- after all I've paid for the service and I can already elect to turn off ads from the web site.

don't highlight in green if it is out of date - mgldan
The green items are Editor's Picks, not Sponsored links. They're the same items that would be in blue on the VT front page. And for the record, Editor's Picks aren't bought advertisements--they're products which the VT staff has chosen to be noteworthy. If you don't like the highlighting, you can change the Editor's Pick color to black in the preferences. Then they'll appear in the same color as all the other listings.
