needed for Panther? - eddie o

I think it is still needed. I changed my energy saving prefs last night (writing DVD's) on my G4/733, Panther 10.3.2. Then I put it back to sleep after a half hour. I never touched "spin down" check box.

This morning when I came in, my drives were spun down: the usual annoying wait as I strarted apps which needed my firewire drives.

I ran spindown fix as before, so well see if it sticks. My drives were OK before messing with energy saver.

The short answer: spindown fix is still necessary with Panther.

Ed.
