Been using this plugin for ages, I upgraded to Panther.. The plugin was rejected by the new Mail app, an updated plugin was promptly released.. but no matter what I do it is not recognised by Mail! Plugin's in the right place, where they've always been; executed the necessary line in Terminal; but clicking on 'add account' in Mail prefs NEVER gives me the option to add an httpmail account.... it just isn't there at all, not greyed out, nothing. I've just been through the necessary steps one more time (I keep trying in vain about once a week) but still nothing.
If the developer has any clue as to why it's not working, I'd hugely appreciate a reply to this post.. I'd love to say 'keep up the good work!' but it seems Panther has defeated us..
httpmail plugin
The plugin has been withdrawn due to the fact the Microsoft is discontinuing the HTTPMail protocol on September 1st 2009.

Give this a try - digikat
I had EXACTLY this problem. I did everything according to the rules, but httpmail never showed up as an option! Try this... make sure the bundles name is fine, then go BACK into Terminal and type the line enabling the bundles AGAIN. That's right, I know you already did it once, now do it again. This worked for me! Now I'm finally getting Hotmail, although the visual interface is all screwed up... but that's clearly a different problem.Good luck!
