Update didn't seem to work

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Contributed by: Gavin Sherlock Thursday, November 13 2003 @ 08:36 AM PST

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Recommend Product: NO

I installed the update, via software update, but still get:

W-90-732-818-2 101 % java -version
HotSpot not at correct virtual address. Sharing disabled.
java version "1.4.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1_01-69.1)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-24, mixed mode)

which, according to:

http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn2002/tn2099.html

would suggest that it didn't actually install properly.
