Both Unicode Checker and Unicode Converter don't open on my machines (using Panther 10.3.01)
And again Apple fails to design a standard allowing to work with different enchodings (two-byte and Latin) in one document. Filemaker, Golive, Word, Text-Edit, Tex-Edit never return the same readable document .... to make a wen page is a nightmare
Any hints anyone
Thanks from Taiwan

The standard you're talking about is UTF-8. You have to explicitly choose the encoding when you're opening/saving files sometimes. If the file is not UTF-8, but really ascii mixed with Big-5 or some other non-unicode encoding, then your best bet is to load the text file up in Safari and choose your encoding.Reply to This
