The name of this site is VersionTracker -- that's what they do -- tell you what the latest version is and what it's all about, regardless if it's downloadable, via software update, or on a CD to purchase.

I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with this appearing on VersionTracker: as you say, that's what the site is for. I just don't see the point in Apple posting the download.
