Problems with Panther/G5/Radeon 9800

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Three Months

I am using a dual 2GHz G5 with an OEM Radeon 9800 and since I upgraded to Panther I am having weird OpenGL artifact problems in Ghost Recon. The worst problem is when using the night vision goggles when I get artifacts all over the screen. Anyone else?

I am running it on my 867/G4 Titanium but I had the same problem. The way I got around it was to go to Options menu and select the Graphics tab. Under the Textures menu, set Effects Texture Detail to "Low." The shrapnel became almost transparent.

Looks like 10.3.2 has fixed this.
