AlienBenefactor, has a point. FileVault seems to screw-up certain files
It does not like Photoshop files. I had to turn it off, but the files that had been created when I had it on could not be understood by any program.
I think that it's "decryption on the fly" corrupts files. BTW, what's up with that stupid warning when you shutdown and filevault asks to throw away extra space.
There better be a FIX for this ASAP or else millions of $ and precious time will be lost by many people. I lost 8 hours of work because of it-bad Apple!
Also, I've installed Panther on 4 different machines and they all have a problem where the hotspot for the mouse is not working. In other words , my mouse clicks don't always work.
Other than that, Panther is the bantha doo doo!

I kinda messed up my rateing since I forgot that the over all rating is most important, not the other star ratings. I'd actually give Panther 4 starsSunday, October 26 2003 @ 07:21 AM PST

Measured by your comments : how then could you give 5 stars? What would you give if it was perfect?Reply to This
