My experience is the the 1.25A software *will* work with Panther, but you have to run the EPSON Scan application (which 1.25A puts in the Application folder) to set which scanner you have, first. Once you've set the scanner, the software works correctly. If you don't set the scanner, then trying to scan in will result in applications crashing. (BTW, you only have to set the scanner once--not each time before scanning.)
