"Have your contact and calendar information synced to your mobile phone"
"Make sure you never miss another appointment or event"
- Sony Ericsson are still at it too, publishing statements such as:
I was right!:( Those claims should read...
"Have your contact and calendar information partially synced to your mobile phone"
"Make sure you never miss another appointment or event, unless it's an all-day event, e.g. your mother's birthday, a national holiday or your wedding anniversary"
Thanks again Apple, for yet another full tasting promotion of a half baked solution. How free is freeware when one's decision to buy a very expensive Apple was based on promises like this?
In all fairness, I should admit that Apple could at best only improve the situation by implementing a workaround in iSync that mapped iCal all-day events to & from some sort of timed event in the phone. A real solution can only occur when Sony Ericsson take responsibility for their rhetoric and release firmware upgrades that add true all-day event capability to the handsets.
Let Apple know what YOU think at http://www.apple.com/feedback/isync.html or select Provide iSync Feedback from the iSync menu in iSync.
