While I can truly appreciate somebody that enthusiastically reviews a product, the star ratings become meaningless when a reviewer submits multiple ratings. It's great that "ahem!" digs this program, and I may come back and provide my own rating once I've had the opportunity to try the application, but it's poor manners to skew the results by submitting multi-five-star reviews. It's just not cool.

Skewed review star ratings - mizog
I think that it's fair to say that it was also uncool of "RAVEDOG" to make the comments that he did, which, just weren't true. (Don't take my word, give SecretShredder a try) He certainly skewed the star ratings down lower than if "Ahem" just made one report. All I can say is, thanks Ahem, and, please make up your own mind.

Skewed review star ratings - ahem!
Um, DonSL777?If you really paid attention, you'd see that each review/rating I posted was relating to a new version of SecretShredder. *And*, the only time I submitted a follow-up comment regarding the same version (0.2.1), I posted no rating.
That follow-up comment provided input regarding the Gutmann Method. The author read the post and improved on the product which in turn provided the Mac community with a better version of a much needed utility.
There is no skewing, here. If you check the history of my postings you'll see that I post positive reviews mostly for free apps which I feel are useful.
In this case, while SecretShredder is shareware, it provides shredding capabilities the others don't, in demo (free) mode.
I'm not affiliated in any way, shape or form to the Mizog.
What I think is inappropriate is when a poster loses sight of what this forum is about ...posting feedback regarding software, the sharing of opinions regarding one's experience with a new product/version.
In the time you took to post your message, you could've posted something constructive about the program, favorable or not, instead of making personal comments about another person.
This area is for review of software, not people. So please, don't make this a personal issue.
Talking about other posters, instead of the software, is the worst kink of skewing there is, imo.
