Unplug the tablet, uninstall the driver, repair permissions, run a disk utility on your startup drive, restart, plug the tablet in, install the driver again.
If you have a hacked/patched/badly maintained system, don't shout about bugware. I have no complaints about the Wacom driver. Works great on Panther too.
