"Monickels", you are dead wrong with all your listed missing functions. I just tested all the features you stated were missing.

1. Firebird 0.7 DOES fully utilize contextual menus with all the features you stated were missing.

2. Pop-ups are blocked with no error messages.

3. Multiple tab groups are supported.

4. There is no need to delete the Bookmarks Toolbar folder...just delete its contents with a couple shift-clicks. This is a good feature that prevents accidental deletion of the special Bookmarks Toolbar folder (which has happened to me in other browsers, in which the folder could not be re-created.)

I find Firebird 0.7 to be an excellent browser and I am now testing it as my default to compare to Safari. Utilizing Safari Bookmark Exporter and Safari Enhancer has allowed me to send my bookmarks back and forth with ease between the two browsers.

Both browsers compare favorably, each with a few features that the other lacks.

Safari can synchronize its bookmarks via iSync/.Mac, so if you work on multiple Macs, you can conveniently access all your bookmarks with ease. Safari has built-in Spell checking (for when you post comments to sites such as VersionTracker.) Safari supports the Services menu, allowing extensibility.

Firebird's plug-in architecture is terrific. The SmoothWheel extension makes scrolling through webpages much easier on the eyes...no more abrupt scrolling movements. Firebird renders more websites correctly---including some pages on VT that Safari will choke on. Such as
