Disappearing Icons

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Installed this update via Software Update. Now when I cmd-drag an icon on my desktop to make it snap to grid it disappears. The icon will reappear if I type a couple letters of its name.

Don't know if this problem is somehow related to the update. Can anyone verify? I repaired disk permissions and rebooted. Problem remains.

Disappearing Icons - jdesm

Hi

This might be because you installed TinkerTool ? If so, try to go into TinkerTool and click the "Defaults" button. After I installed tinkertool I had that problem and that helped....

Disappearing Icons - slboettcher

Delete your finder.plist and download Tinkertool 3.0.1 - it fixes this.
