awful program. these guys have truely missed the target by miles. which is sad really as i would have been nice to have seen an alternative to quicken (which only works with the U.S and canadian $) in the macintosh space. for anyone who need a better solution and uses 10.2 download apple's x11 beta, then visit www.gnucash.org. gnucash is a double entry accounting system which run's and compiles under apples x11 unix layer. i have been using this for 8 months now and it is FANTASTIC!!!. it take a while the install it you have dial up but it can be done gradully via a resume feature. get FINK COMMANDER which comes with FINK to automate the install www.fink.sourceforge.net gnucash is listed as a fink supported package. Pretty cool the best part is that it is FREE!!!!

GNUCash instead - sevenup
Ooops, I had never added the unstable tree to my Fink setup the last time I installed Panther. Looks like gnucash is there so maybae it's not as bleak as I thought. Sorry for the negative feedback.Tuesday, February 03 2004 @ 01:07 AM PST

GNUCash looks very interesting, but judging by the incredible list of dependencies most Mac folk will never figure out how to install it.Reply to This
