There's nothing quite as annoying as finding out that an expensive audio card, despite using a chipset whose manufacturer claims it was designed for 3.3v signalling, is notched in a way that indicates (incorrectly, apparently) that it only supports 5v signalling, and thus won't work in a PowerMac G5. I now have a $500 doorstop.

Has anyone tried taking a hacksaw to the appropriate part of the edge connector? Does anyone know of any reasons that this wouldn't solve the problem?
