Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: One Day

Recommend Product: NO

- which was my experience- you need to reduce CPU usage, or tell the prefs to ignore it- this thing is a real hog, and if I had SETI running in the background, it would not make measles. Once I stopped SETI, the little buggers showed up. Cute, but, IMHO, pretty useless if it's such a process pig.

if it looks like nothing's happening- - bhaller

This would be because SETI is a pig, not because Measles is. Measles watches the CPU usage on your machine, and automatically throttles itself down if your machine is busy. So it only uses "spare" CPU power, which means that effectively it uses almost no CPU -- it will never slow your machine down significantly, because it will throttle down before that happens. But this does mean that other CPU pigs, such as SETI, will prevent Measles from doing anything at all.
