According to the readme:
"It is not possible to distinguish between the built-in speaker (on the front of the machine) and the headphone jack(s). This is a hardware issue as these outputs share one audio line."
I think this is the scenario that 90 percent of users would want to use a program like this for. I hook up my G4 to my entertainment system via the headphone jack when I'm using iTunes, but always disconnect at other times. Quite a hassle when the headphone jack is in the back of the machine. Too bad this program doesn't help this issue...

One solution is to get an iMic. The sound quality is better than the front headphone jack and you can connect it to the other USB jack on your keyboard. Detour works great with it. You also can switch between line-in and headphone right on the iMic.What I'd like to see the abilty to assign sound-in functions.
