Too many Mac users are complaining about the same thing. Stuffit doesn't work worth c_r_a_p anymore. Unfortunately, I didn't listen, installed 8.0 and my dual PowerMac with OSX 10.2.8 wouldn't re-boot. Gray screen, small black box in the middle, no boot. I got rid of 8.0, went back to 7.3 and all is OK. So, I pissed away a $40 upgrade fee. Don't you make the same mistake. This is an upgrade to avoid. Aladdin's Q&A must be sub-contracted out to former Microsloth employees. Save your money and buy Panther instead (it comes with .zip pre-installed). I'm like the other folks; tired of the so-called "features" that inhibit performance. What used to take one click to un-stuff, can now take three or four clicks-- when it works. Enough already. A company will only improve the product when enough people go elsewhere. I'm gone. No more Aladdin. No more Stuffit. Long live .zip.
