First, I'm with Bingo on the upgrade. For my purposes, 1.9.1 is fine, though the "Panther" comment is worrisome.

The thing I'm looking for in this product is the ability to read existing barcode files, edit them, and Save As. Or, alternately, provide the ability to create template documents that UPCs of different types get built from.

For example, I may have some products that I require a Factor of 1, with no truncation. Others may be .6 factor, -0.5 truncation, and so on. Being able to define and name a set of templates with the various settings would be very helpful -- Pint UPC-A, Quart UPC-A, 4lb Box UPC-A, or whatever. As it is, if it's been a long time since I created a particular sized UPC, I have to either peel back the ancient layers of memory, or experiment until I get it right.

True, I could create a document in Word or Excel or something with the various settings for each size and type of package (and one of these when I get around it I probably will), but this kind of functionality needs to be built in to the Barcode software I use. If I have to create a new size or style of barcode, I could set it up, define as a template, and start generating the codes without having to remember to open some archive document.

That kind of functionality would grab my upgrade dollars in a heartbeat.

What's Missing... - Paul Scandariato

Some sort of template / save as feature would be *very* useful. I'll add and prioritize this on my list of things to implement.
