Before installing the 10.2.8 update I did a Repair Permissions... and then found the .dmg file wouldn't mount, although it seemed to be decompressing... After looking a bit further it seemed that the "Repair" actually messed up my permissions and so the .dmg file couldn't be mounted. After running Repair Permissions a second time, all seems to be fine.
