Good, but what network mischief?

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: One Month

Recommend Product: NO

I first downloaded this app and watched with awe as the screen filled up with dozens of files. Far faster and better than the Gnutella net. Great, right? But then I looked at my DSL modem lights and noticed the lights flashing long after I had quit the app. I did some snooping, and it turns out there was a game network using my machine, and a ton of "possibly unfriendly" requests at my firewall. I tried a slightly later version, and the same thing happened. So unless and until these security concerns are addressed, I'm sticking to older, pokier software.

Good, but what network mischief? - daniel43

Swift, could you briefly explain how you saw that a game network was using your machine? Where did you look to see that? And where did you see the "possibly unfriendly" requests to your machine?
I'm just a guy who knows nothing and who would like to be able to tell if somebody is trying to missuse my machine.
Thank you.
