I was uncertain from the name just what this program is or does.
I downloaded it. There is no Read Me so I launch the program and tell it to get IP Info which is what it appears it is supposed to do. The first time it filled two fields with some sort of error message and the second time it gave me an Applescript error message.
After I send this review the DMG will meet its demise in the proper bin on my dock.

From a third party view, you should actually remove your negative feedback. You tried to use a program made for something you didn’t understand, it didn’t work given incorrect input, then you give it a bad rating. I wouldn’t call it ‘defensive posturing’, the guy went out of his way to tell you what you were doing wrong even though you weren’t trying to use the program for what it was meant for in the first place.Monday, January 19 2004 @ 02:01 AM PST

Very well said. The original poster here has an attitude problem. Having said that, it's not a bad idea for the developer to provide a more robust product description here in VT and perhaps also a Read-Me file. I know what IP-calc functions are about, but to lay persons the term is open to interpretation. So a better description might save the developer some time and trouble -- not to mention his potential "customers."Monday, June 28 2004 @ 09:59 AM PDT

I guess I will claim ignorance though I am not certain why I had to make a post at all to get some sort of information on the program. In the past I've used mainly Etherpeek but others as well for network troubleshooting needs so while I am no expert I have networking experience. But I will accept your "slight", as I will put it, as defensive posturing.
Thanks for your reply.
