I dunno, I just find this whole idea of activating my software by having to call the mothership whenever I install it or switch computers or whatever, to be...I dunno, "insulting?" When Windows XP started it I was glad (once again) that I used a Mac, but now Adobe has joined the same club...
Well I skipped the upgrade to version 6 and went straight from Photoshop 5.5 to 7 (through sheer laziness, admittedly). Maybe now it's time for a deliberate version-skip: deny 'em a quarter or four of my profits. I also own Illustrator and GoLive, so if I skip all of them, that's $500 I don't have to pay this year...what can I do with all that money?
Now I'm just ranting. I just feel like an old friend has slapped me across the face. Yuck.
They have a page here explaining about it, FWIW:
