First of all, I want to say that I have enjoyed using many of Webroot's programs prior to my becoming a Mac fanatic, and when I saw that they had a version out for OS X I too, had problems using this version. I was amazed that it did not work. My installed version would go through the motions of cleaning, but after a bit, would unexpectedly quit. Here is how to resolve that problem:
1. Open Mac Washer Application.
2. On left hand side click "Applications"
3. Once open, you will see some Microsoft products listed that are checked to be
cleaned. Please uncheck those now.
4.Close Mac Washer X, reboot system, and clean your system.
I took it upon myself to do some investigating before slamming Webroot for a crappy piece of software, and as I said earlier, I have had nothing but good luck, and customer service from them in the past. This time was no different. I took the time to call technical support via a 1-800 number, and in doing so, I explained what was going on with the new software. Webroot is very much aware of the problem and are going to issue a fix for this bug for all registered users. I am not a paid spokesperson for Webroot software, just a satisfied customer.
