I like this utility. It works well for things that you would have to use the dreaded TERMINAL for. I particularly like the network tweaking features, they really help speed up the connection! This application was recommended by MacAddict for basic system maintenance for OSX. Apple certainly has their hands full with other things.
As far as the strategy being changed; Let's be honest, if you have used and enjoy an author's software and he asked you to compensate him for his work via a DONATE button, DID YOU DONATE? Did you give the author even 1 dollar? I didn't think so.
I know that this program used to be "free". Actually not, it was always "donateware". Now that this handy little utility has been reviewed and hailed by numerous sites and magazines the author has every right and deserves to demand compensation for writing (and UPDATING) it! (even though he had every right before!) So before, he asked you to donate based on the honor system (what's that?) Now he wants to actually be paid for a handy and effective piece of software.
I can't believe our society has turned into a bunch of whiners demanding everthing for FREE! In fact when I came to this site I was looking for the author's site to PAY HIM. He's asking only $10.00 for a well designed and beautiful utility. How long will these guys continue to develop for whiners who want everything for FREE?! If it were me, not long!
Then again, you could always pay the commercial rates and get TechTool (still unreleased!).
I'm off to pay this guy his poultry $10.00 and to thank him for developing for the Mac!
YEEESH!

This comment was very truthful, and to the point. I too, am tired of everyone wanting something for nothing, and in this day and time, companies that are quick to take your hard earned money, and yet balk at providing decent service.I do have one small comment, and that is you need to check your spelling in your comment section. I think the word you were looking for was PALTRY and not poultry. Poultry is a bird.
