I wouldn't give up my mac for all the freakin' PC's in the world. Still...it does trouble me that Apple could let something so blatantly disasterous happen. I guess I got a bit scared and confused. For a moment I thought I was installing a Microsoft Update...you know the kind...that use us as beta testers for their crappy software and software updates. I'm back to my senses now...thanks to the fix mentioned below. (Replacing new appleGMACEthernet.kext with the older version by booting back to OS9.) Please Apple, be careful. If you get too much like Microsoft, it may not make much of a difference to us which direction we go in the future. Since I'm sporting a DP450, very soon I will be looking to replace my computer and I have to admit that Windows XP is more MacLike than any Windows system before. Still inferior...but more MacLike to be certain.
