I've had no luck whatsoever in getting v. 1.7 or 1.7.1 of DEVONthink PE to even launch. It appears to be completely incompatible with OS X 10.2.6. Tech support is non-existent - repeated emails to the support email address have met with no response or assistance whatever. DEVONthink was a promising application, but I'd think twice before paying DEVON Technologies any money.

I have never had this problem and have always had responses to e-mails, usually with a day.Sunday, October 12 2003 @ 08:11 AM PDT
1.7.1 launch failure - Perdition
I've never experienced these issues. I've been running various versions of this with little or no problems. Never had an issue with 10.2.6 or previous Jag versions. Responses back from Devon Tech have always been prompt on the rare occasion i've needed to contact them.Sunday, October 12 2003 @ 12:53 PM PDT
1.7.1 launch failure - Bill D
I can assure tschneider that DEVONthink 1.7.1 (currently 1.7.2) is very compatible with X2.6 and that DEVONthink is a very fine, stable product. My guess is that some disk maintenance procedures would cure his problem. As to responsiveness by the technical staff, I've found it outstanding. In addition, there's a user forum at <http://www.devon-technologies.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi>.Sunday, October 12 2003 @ 10:42 PM PDT

Don't know what went wrong there, but I have never had any incompatibility with any version of OS X 10.2The tech support is there, there is also a forum wher you can post questions. The company is small and innovative, so I for one give them lots of credit and do not moan if I don't get an answer within an hour, a day, or even a week.
It is a great product, and I could not do without it.
