I operate a very text-oriented Web site, so my evaluation is slanted heavily in that direction. I like the very improved onscreen display of text and the fact that now you can enter large amounts of text without nearly as much of that awful "sticky" feel. For my purposes best new feature is that it is Unicode-capable, which facilitates better Web typography as well, of course, as the use of exotic alphabets (this will be a great help for pushing the Mac platform in many foreign markets). But I'm sorry that the designers haven't leveraged this new Unicode more creatively (example - why not have an option so curly quotes would be inserted automatically rather than requiring a trip to a special toolbar, why bury curly single quoes in an awkward table you have to call up specially)? And that awful timelag when you select boldface or italics via a keyboard command still remains. Also, the prices of the app. and the upgrade are exorbitant. There's a great need for a cheap, stripped down wysyg page creation app. that writes modern code and can handle Unicode.
