Aftter using this app for two weeks, I can only say that it SUCKS. Yes, that is right it sucks. Here are the reasons why:
  1. UI offers nowhere near enough feedback
  2. I was constantly sitting waiting for a filelist or some sort of transfer and would have the program giveing me nothing teling me that its working. No noification of downloads complete or started, nothing. At least WS_FTP had those nice sounds.
  3. Unable to maintain connection reliably
  4. Oh man this was annoying as hell, between this and the lack of feedback as to why I am waiting I was pissed as hell.
  5. Preferences suck, overly complicated preferences
  6. Add to that the fact that many of the options are useless. The file sizes should all be relative sometimes im transferring HTML files that rarely pass 5K others im uploading 200MB media files and would like it shown as MB in the same folder as those 5K files.
  7. Preferences don't stick, the Quickconnect bar refuses to die
  8. Everytime I touched the Settings the quickconnect bar would toggle between showing itself and being turned off. I turned off many extraneous features like the tree views, transcript, and quick connect bar, so they should stay off.
  9. Program didn't crash but connection frequently lost
  10. Yeah, at least it didn't up and die, but its inability to stay conencted and constant transfer errors with NO DIALOGS or any type of feedback to tell me that something went wrong except for the tiny blurb available only in the Queue Section.
  11. Really Bad UI choices
  12. The file view size thing was one annoyance but another was teh file editor/viewer why doesn't it come with a sensible default using notepad for all non media files and windows image viewer for images and Media player for media. All those apps are standard and should be on user's apps by default. Another is the fact that on first launched your screen is littered with counteless useless windows until you go to the settings and turn them off.

Sounds more like you have problems on your system, and/or your competency with Windows apps, then any real creditable feedback on FileZilla. Just out trolling and trying to dissuade people from using the fine free software available on the platform you apparently despise?
