If any of you had any knowledge of hosting and hosting providers you would know that most of the time a website's downtime is caused not by the creator of the website but because of the host. That is exactly the problem and Justin is transitioning to a new host because of it.
I have never had a problem with Proteus, and it has always functioned very well for me. Maybe people should check out the stability and maintenance issues with their own machines before blaming some one else. As for MSN and Microsoft transitioning to a new security model and closing the doors on third party clients, give Justin a little bit of time okay! Geez, this just came up a couple weeks ago and everyone is still learning about it. MSN will continue to work, worst case scenario will be a tiny bit of downtime on the MSN network. Do you really think Justin wants to have a crippled client and not even be able to use MSN himself? Give me a break.
Proteus is awesome!

website not the fault of the developer - blozegotes
oh god one of the little justin-is-god people....1. last time the website went down justin's own post acknowledged that it was actually the fault of his server at his house. dodgy ethernet card from memory. took him like 3 weeks to find it. You would be able to verify that from the proteus message boards, ummm, except they are down.
2. 'give him some time' - u mean like the 6 months we put up with a17? i doubt he is even aware of it - he is off on 6 weeks vacation or something, right?
the bottom line is if he wants to charge ppl for his software he has to acknowledge then that he is running a business, and as such, has to realise that his customers are no. 1.
if this was hobby freeware - then sure, he can disappear all he wants, get out and have some fun with it, we dont owe you anything. BUT if you want to charge people for your software (especially when your competition universally does not charge), you cannot disappear for months at a time and hang up a sign that says 'gon fishin, no one here can help you'
and that is what pisses people off most.
