I would love to have the exact same functionality as the OS9 Note pad but what's the use if I can't continue using my OS9 Note pad file???
Okay, I gave in, Notepad it is. - Asu
After testing 6-7 of the other notepad utilities i decided to stick with this one because it is most like the pre-OSX Apple util. I had to create text clippings from each page in the note pad file on the OS9 box then copy them to my OSX laptop and drag them one by one all onto the OSX NotePad. I would bet my little finger that the author could write an applescript to do just the same in about 10 minutes. For me it would take 10 hours so I decided to go with the lesser pain.3 minor issues:
- the back and forht buttons on the bottom take up a lot of unnecessary space, they could be squeezen in underneath the 8th tab and we coould get rid of the cm wide unused window rim.
- the disabledness of CLOSE button is baffling. OS9 Notepad quit when closed, what's wrong with retaining this fucntionality?
- ctrl left/up and ctrl/right/doown keys could be used to move back and forth among the pages.
