At first I was really exited considering that Revolution (i.e. xTalk) is incredibly simple to learn, but as progressed playing with the product I realized that it was still severely lacking in many features, most notably database connecitivity and unicode support. To put it simply: these things still don't work. I am not trashing Revolution just because it's easy (as some people do) but because it's still as buggy as hell.

psychomachine, you probably didn't really give Revolution a real try. If you had you would have seen how easy it is to use with external databases such as MySQL and Valentina. And it does work. You can either write scripting to do the job or use their build in database query tool to create queries to control databases. I connected to a MySQL database and in just a matter of minutes had a complete interface with the ability to insert, edit and delete records from the database. Before you rate something, why not make an honest attempt to work with the development environment?Monday, September 08 2003 @ 02:39 PM PDT
