I installed this update on my wife's iMac DV 450 and it no longer will fully boot. It hangs there repeatedly trying to startup the loginwindow. It would continue to attempt to do so all year if I let it.
Checking logs: init: getty repeating too quicly on port /dev/console, sleeping
and getting crash reports in: loginwindow.crash.log
any ideas?

iMac DV no longer boots - jdtangney
Same experience as Cam3D - but different h/w - and with 10.3.5 install!I have more than one boot disk. One was successfully updated to 10.3.5 and works fine. My main boot disk exhibits this peculiar blue screen - loginwindow keeps crashing and writing a report to crashreporter. I did a test by restoring from backup to a system prior to 10.3.5 install - worked fine. Applied upodate - blue screen back! Even "safe boot" does not work.

Same thing happened to me only worse. Now, I'm unable to use my iMac except in OS 9.2 and called Apple and got charged $49 to be told to take it in to have everything erased.
Twice in one year or less I have spend $49 for Apple care just to keep the darn thing running.
And I thought I hated PC's! I'm thinking twice now!
